55° Nord was established in 2003 and is owned by spejdernet.dk and FDF. They offer a large selection of the outdoor equipment. They sell backpacks, sleeping bags, footwear, uniforms, etc. in high quality. Their inspiration is nature and the challenges and experiences that children and young people encounter on trips and camps.

55° North needed a stable, future proof and flexible B2B and B2C webshop with integration with Microsoft Dynamics NAV. This is to become more agile in relation to split testing, design changes and handling of organizations with their own products. The webshop contains more than 5,000 different item numbers.

The webshop should be based on standard software to minimize development costs and benefit from a widespread system with built-in user management, additional opportunities, online marketing, statistics and split testing.

Dynamicweb as a solution

There were many requirements for the final solution:

The webshop was developed on Dynamicweb and integrated with Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Intensive work was done with the optimization and performance of the solutions, as well as the structuring of visual information. Consequently, customers, private as well as professional buyers, got a good overview of the product range from 55 ° North and their organizations, respectively.

To meet user needs and enhanced user experience across different platforms, desktops and mobile devices, the solution was built into responsive web design.
