The Foundry embarks on new adventure with PGL
Established in 1957, PGL is a market-leading provider of activity courses and holidays for schools, youth groups, family holidays and summer camps for unaccompanied children.
Increasingly their sales and marketing effort is online and mobile. With an aim to remain at the forefront of their industry in digital communications, they briefed five agencies to develop and propose a fresh approach to their brand in a digital context.
After a pitch presentation, The Foundry won a substantial digital project which included redeveloping the PGL website, one of the UK’s largest holiday sites.
“It was their commitment to going the extra mile and offering true flexibility with their digital capabilities that tipped the balance in the Foundry’s favour” says Graham Sadler, IT Director.
The Foundry’s digital division has been working alongside PGL’s marketing and web departments to create innovative online content, with new branding, photography, art direction and copy targeted at each of PGL’s audience groups.
The new site, www.pgl.co.uk went live in October. It was built entirely in Dynamicweb, a state-of- the-art CMS solution. The Foundry are the software’s leading provider in the UK.
The Foundry’s Digital Director, Ian Mckay, added, “This has been a huge project for us, not only building one of the biggest responsive sites of its kind, but also employing the latest SEO techniques helping PGL to retain visibility and credibility in the adventure holidays market”.
