RIDGID Kollmann’s successful online store – powered by Dynamicweb – provides the perfect blueprint for easy roll-outs across KOKS Group brands.

Challenge

KOKS Group is an international manufacturer and supplier of vacuum trucks and heavy industrial cleaning equipment. Since launching in the Netherlands in 1989, KOKS Group has seen significant growth, with specialised subsidiaries across the globe and some of the world’s best-known manufacturing brands – including RIGID Kollmann, the leading supplier of sewer cleaning equipment.

With such a complex range of brands and products, KOKS GROUP needed to create an online store that could combine high-performing ecommerce capabilities with innovative marketing tools to reflect each brand’s individual identity, customer needs and product set.

Working closely with its digital partner, Bluedesk, KOKS Group selected RIGID Kollmann as its first ‘blueprint’ online store. Once built, the solution needed to provide the flexibility and simplicity to be able to easily roll-out across its full range of brands.

Why change?
For KOKS Group Corporate Manager of Marketing and Communications, Gerhard van Reeuwijk, it was clear that the company needed to centralise its different brands onto one platform, as well as harnessing the ecommerce capabilities to take advantage of online revenue opportunities.

“We realised that B2B websites are becoming increasingly important in our inbound marketing mix – and that our customers, in every country, were spending more and more time researching technical product information online”, explains Reeuwijk. “We needed to provide customers with an online destination where they could find and purchase all the products they need, easily”.

Why Dynamicweb?
The end-goal for the project was to create a templated online store that could be easily rolled-out across all other KOKS Group brands. Dynamicweb was the only solution that could meet KOKS Group’s complicated set of requirements – not just for RIGID Kollmann, but for all its future online stores.

“Each brand has its own product range, appearance, core values and online positioning”, explains Reeuwijk. “Our starting point was to develop a well-functioning, conversion-oriented, multi-language site with a flexible and strong master template. The Dynamicweb platform provided the technical, flexible and creative possibilities we needed in an all-in-one platform”.

The all-in-one Dynamicweb solution provides all of the key functionality from the previous RIGID Kollmann store, with the addition of advanced e-commerce, PIM and online marketing capabilities.
The new online store integrates with AccountView, MultiSafepay and PostNL and, by incorporating both the RIGID Kollmann store and KOKS Group corporate site onto the same platform, has transformed the company’s ability to manage both sites, creating significant time-savings and efficiencies.

Results

RIDGIDKollmann.com has become the blueprint for all other KOKS Group online stores. Taking advantage of the new template, the group will be able to launch its remaining brand stores with minimal cost and turnaround times – providing a huge competitive advantage. The new integrated ecommerce platform provides a highly scalable environment that actively supports KOKS Group’s online businesses and improves findability across multiple countries and languages.

“Thanks to the excellent Dynamicweb platform, we can now set-up each website and corresponding language layers with individual content from one portal, create online marketing campaigns within the corporate house style and ensure that the KOKS family company image is recognizable”, reveals Reeuwijk.

In recognition of the project’s success, RIDGID Kollmann was listed in the 2022 Emerce Eguide, which showcases the industry’s best ecommerce projects and agencies.
